Nothing beats walking into a clean cabin. But a welcoming cabin. But cleaning a cabin takes longer than cleaning a conventional home — more surfaces, more nooks, and often more dust from the surrounding environment.
Here is an efficient cleaning system that covers everything without wasting time.
The Arrival Check
When you first arrive, do a quick walkthrough before unpacking:
- Check for any issues that developed during your absence
- Look for pest activity, leaks, or damage
- Open windows to air out the space
- Start the coffee or tea — this makes the whole process feel less like work
The Quick Clean (2 Hours)
For a cabin that’s been closed up for a few weeks:
- Dust all surfaces (30 minutes). Start high and work down. Don’t forget ceiling fans, window sills, and log wall tops.
